"Use it or lose it!" I’ve heard this statement all my life, and let’s be honest we’ve probably said it to others or maybe even to ourselves at point. It basically means if we don’t use the gifts or talents we’ve got, we will eventually lose them. Think about our muscles, if you don’t build them up by doing some sort of strength training you will lose your muscles! Over time they will lose the definition and physique they were designed with. Without building them up we become flabby and weak. The hands of time are always ticking away but no matter what we have to know that God is not done with us yet!  As long as we have breath we will praise Him, we will serve His people, and we will make a difference for the Kingdom of God!

10 God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.
— 1 Peter 4:10-11

This week Pastor Magali gave us a great reminder about unearthing our gifts. She taught us the importance of letting what God has given us come out in our everyday lives. The truth is, God didn’t make a mistake when He gave you a gift. He wants you to use it and for you to live in His fullness. Many of us know what our gift is, but we're afraid to use it. If God gave it to you, He'll give you the strength to use it!

Today, let's make it our prayer to see our gifts come alive again. Ask God to ignite it again, to stir it up again and to let it be like fire shot up in your bones. If you don’t know what your gift is, it’s time to explore and get involved in your local church. Trust me when I say this when you find that right fit you will begin to live in God’s fullness! Let’s exercise those gifts God has placed inside of us, no more sitting on the sidelines! If our gift has been unearthed, let's use it!
