The school year is upon us. As many of you moms know, it can be challenging to find the one shirt the kids are meant to wear to school. Is it in the laundry, the hamper, under the pile of Legos?  Or maybe it's hidden in the bed the children made by just pulling the sheets and comforters right over it. Whatever the case, it can start a family scavenger hunt; everyone looking for this token shirt.

I'll lead you to buried treasures, secret catches of valuables - Confirmations that it is, in fact, I, God, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name. Isaiah 45:3 MSG

Can you imagine if we felt the same sense of urgency in searching for the treasures God has placed within His Word, and ultimately, within us? According to Webster's Dictionary, unearthing something means discovering what was hidden or lost. It can be recovered through digging, excavating, uncovering…

There are so many ways in which God is unearthing me. He's unearthing the writer in me, the mother in me, the wife in me. He's unearthing greater faith within me. I don't want to stay where I am in my relationship with the Lord, I want to grow further and further with Him. There are treasures God has placed with me, and within you, that no one else is meant to fulfill!

Not only is God unearthing these great things, but He's also unearthing limitations. There are times when life's challenges come, and we feel stuck! But just like the woman with the issue of blood (Luke 8). She was in the same repetitive cycle for twelve years!  She had exhausted all options for help and was likely left without hope. Have you ever felt like that? You're putting in all of the efforts, but nothing seems to be changing? But here's what I love! No matter what she felt, she stretched her faith! She reached for the promise! And when she reached for the promise, it changed her position.

Ladies, limitations are not meant to stop us, they're meant to direct us. Every limitation you face today is attached to someone else walking in that season tomorrow. Let's not allow the challenges in life to stop us from all of the amazing things God has for us. Let's decide, just as she did, to deliberately reach out and touch Jesus. We will all experience moments when we will have to lean in and touch the hem of His garment. Let's cling to Him! Cling to His promises. Cling to the Word! The Word will never return void.
