If you've ever moved before you know the importance of downsizing. There's been plenty of times where I've planned to move into a new place, but didn't want to go through the hassle of moving all of my stuff. Like it or not, it had to be done, I had to downsize..
I remember the first time I got a tattoo. I wish I could say that I had thought about what I wanted for a few years. After all, this is one of those life decisions that would forever be imprinted on my body and it was one that I had to hide from my parents (sorry mom). The truth is, it was a last minute spontaneous urge/idea. As some may know the emotional process of getting a tattoo is both exciting yet painful. Once the process is complete and you see the end result you can’t help, but forget the pain that it caused you.
Have you ever been on a budget? Has money been tight or are you really trying to be a good steward of what God has given to you? This is literally my life. I have been a penny-pincher and a bargain-hunter my whole life. Sometimes I gotta face it and really ask myself, "Am I just being cheap?" You know the saying "you get what you pay for". It's very true that this saying can be applied to our spiritual life too..
Being a mother of two under six years old, I tried to think of a time that I “lost” one of my
children at the store or lost track of time and left one of my children at school waiting for
me at the office. Yep, I’m guilty of both. These are definitely not my proudest moments.
I’m hoping that neither of them will need therapy after their experience. Which leads me
to the revelation I was able to receive this past week during my Flawless devotion and
the message on “A Lost Heart,” from our very own Liz Gutierrez!
