So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table. And he was lame in both his feet. – 2 Samuel 9:13 (NKJV)

Saul’s son Jonathan had a son named Mephibosheth, whose feet were lame as a child. He was five years old when the report came from Jezreel that Saul and Jonathan had been killed in battle. When the child’s nurse heard the news, she picked him up and fled. But as she hurried away, she dropped him, and he became crippled – 2 Samuel 4:4 (NLT)

Mephibosheth Means: From the mouth of Shame.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. – Psalm 23:5:6 (NKJV)

Mephibosheth:

1. ATE CRUMBS ON THE FLOOR WHILE EVERYONE ELSE WAS FEASTING AT THE TABLE

2. DIDN’T KNOW HE HAD A RESERVED SEAT

And from that time on, Mephibosheth ate regularly at David’s table, like one of the king’s own sons. – 2 Samuel 9:11 (NLT)

[RIOT] I'm Not Giving Up - Pastor Billy Heather

1Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour 2 And a man lame from birth was being carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple that is called the Beautiful Gate to ask alms of those entering the temple. 3 Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive alms. 4 And Peter directed his gaze at him, as did John, and said, “Look at us.” 5 And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them. 6 But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” 7 And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong. 8 And leaping up, he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.  Acts 3:1-8 (ESV)
