So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table. And he was lame in both his feet. – 2 Samuel 9:13 (NKJV)

Saul’s son Jonathan had a son named Mephibosheth, whose feet were lame as a child. He was five years old when the report came from Jezreel that Saul and Jonathan had been killed in battle. When the child’s nurse heard the news, she picked him up and fled. But as she hurried away, she dropped him, and he became crippled – 2 Samuel 4:4 (NLT)

Mephibosheth Means: From the mouth of Shame.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. – Psalm 23:5:6 (NKJV)

Mephibosheth:

1. ATE CRUMBS ON THE FLOOR WHILE EVERYONE ELSE WAS FEASTING AT THE TABLE

2. DIDN’T KNOW HE HAD A RESERVED SEAT

And from that time on, Mephibosheth ate regularly at David’s table, like one of the king’s own sons. – 2 Samuel 9:11 (NLT)
